Background:

• Joined Sivan in 1994 as Head: Private Equity and Research Department. Was instrumental in conceptualizing and implementing Sivan's entry into private equity.
• Spent a total of 12 years (1982 - 1994) with Industrial Credit and Investment corporation of India Limited (ICICI) in roles starting from appraising projects mentoring portfolio companies, syndicating loans for ICICI's project proposals and marketing ICICI's lease finance product.
• In 1990, was moved to new company formed by ICICI & Unit Trust of India, Technology Development and Information Company of India Limited (TDICI), India's first venture capital company
• In his role at TDICI as Vice President: Technology Venture Finance, he was instrumental in building and growing a portfolio of 45 companies in the fields of Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, Biotechnology, Consumer Products, Engineering and Special Materials. Also brought the initial successes of the VC industry to IPO market

• Masters of Management Studies Degree (a 5 year program) from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
• Doctorate in management from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta in Financial Management
